Case details
According to Allapur police, the victim, Yahya Danish, son of Ahmed and Anwari Begum of Borabanda Safdar Nagar, was a second-year intermediate student at a private college in Yusufguda. He was friends with the son of a deceased rowdy-sheeter, who is also 17 years old and a first-year intermediate student. The rowdy-sheeterās son, who had failed Class 10 and was behind his peers in education, was relative to a young girl studying in the same college.
Danish had developed a close friendship with the young girl, which did not sit well with the rowdy-sheeterās son. The latter had quarrelled with Danish multiple times, accusing him of interfering with his intentions to marry the girl.
On the night of June 22, Danish left home at 9:30 pm and did not return. The following day, his lifeless body, bearing multiple injuries, was discovered on the railway tracks near Borabanda Railway Station. His parents suspected foul play, believing that someone had tried to stage his death as a train accident.
