Boyfriend attacks woman with blade near SR Nagar police station, held

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident on Thursday night, a young woman was attacked with a blade by her boyfriend, sustaining injuries to her neck. The attack occurred near SR Nagar police station around 11 pm and was quickly responded to by a patrolling police team.
According to inspector Srinath Reddy of the SR Nagar police station, the accused, Madhusudhan Reddy (22) is a native of Chodavaram, Srikalahasti in Andhra Pradesh.
The 21-year-old victim had recently completed her engineering studies with Srinath at a college in Nellore district. Although they enrolled in different branches, they became acquainted through Instagram and eventually entered into a romantic relationship. After finishing their education, the couple relocated to Hyderabad to pursue IT training at an institute near Satyam Theatre in Ameerpet, where they are currently enrolled.
Trouble began when the young woman started distancing herself from Madhusudhan Reddy, reportedly due to his recent alcohol and substance abuse. Madhusudhan, residing at Kanakadurga Boysā Hostel in SR Nagar, requested a final meeting with the woman, staying at a nearby ladiesā hostel.
The confrontation took place near the SR Nagar police station, where a heated argument led to Madhusudhan Reddy allegedly attacking the woman with a blade, causing injuries to her neck. A police patrol vehicle passing by immediately intervened, providing first aid to the victim and took her to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The suspect was taken into custody.
A case has been registered following a complaint filed by the victim, and an investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances of the attack.
