Bribery case: 2 commercial tax officials of Abids division get 2 yr jail
Besides the jail term, a fine of Rs. 5000 each was imposed against the two officials.

Hyderabad: Two commercial tax officials of Hyderabad circle, Abids division, were found guilty of taking bribes and sentenced to two years in jail on 1 August.
Guduru Yadadi Raju, commercial tax officer, and M. Shankar Reddy, assistant commercial tax officer, were convicted by the SPE and ACB cases court, Hyderabad. The two had demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs. 3,000 from M. Nagaraju for official favours.
Besides the jail term, a fine of Rs. 5000 each was imposed against the two officials. In case of default in the payment of the fine, they will have to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of three months.
