Burglars accused in 11 break-ins held in Chandanagar; Rs 25 lakhs worth valuables recovered

The police have identified the arrested as Darla Nehe Miya alias Bruce Lee (27) and Kurva Nagesh (25).
Victim returned from the airport to find the house burgled
On August 11, the police received a complaint from Naidu Venkateshwara Rao, a resident of Chandanagar in which he described the robbery at his home.
He said that after his wife and son returned from the Shamshabad airport after dropping his daughter off at about 4 am, they found that their TVS Scooty was stolen and the house was also broken into.
During the investigation, they collected CCTV footage near the crime scene and other evidence and identified the accused as Darla Nehe Miya.
A special team was formed and Darla Nehe Miya and Kurva Nagesh were arrested while driving the stolen vehicle at Suraram. The other accused Gimkalolu Souramma and Suresh (receivers) were taken into custody. The third member of their group is absconding.
During the interrogation, the accused revealed that they were involved in 53 cases ā Cyberabad (17), Hyderabad (12), Rachakonda (6), Karnataka (7), Andhra Pradesh (9), GRP Secunderabad (2) ā apart from the 11 cases.
The police recovered gold of 25 tulas, 400 gm of silver, two bikes and cash worth Rs 29,750. The total worth is Rs 25 lakhs.
Public advisory
The public is requested not to keep valuables such as gold and cash at home while they are planning to travel outside or within the city and keep them in lockers. Keep one person at home while in emergencies to prevent house break-ins. They may also inform the local police in case of emergency travel.
