Chandrayangutta cops rescue newborn from traffickers; 10 brokers held
The accused hatched a plan to sell newborns illegally to parents without children and take a huge commission

The sleuths of the Commissionerās Task Force, South Zone Team along with Chandrayangutta Police apprehended the 10 members who were identified as Shaik Ismail, Sulthana Begum, Mehdi Ali, Fathima Rehamth, Syed Imtiaz Pasha, Nazma Begum, Feroz Khan, Sayeeda Shaik, Nafeez Begum and Sayeeda Begu. They are residents of RR district and Hyderabad.
Case details
According to case records, the main accused Mahidi Ali alias Saleem is a native of Hyderabad. To earn more, he hatched a plan to sell newborns illegally to parents without children and take a huge commission.
He approached Shaik Ismail and Sulthana Begum and encouraged them to sell their newborn to overcome their financial crisis.
For that, the parents of the boy were offered Rs 2,50,000 for their infant. Later, Saleem approached brokers Fathima, Rahmath, Syed Imtiyas Pasha, Nazma Begum, Feroz Khan, Sayeeda Shaik, Nafeeza Begum and Syeeda Begum to get customers. They all circulated the baby photo through WhatsApp putting it on sale.
Getting a tip-off of the sale, the Commissionerās Task Force Police, South Zone along with Chandrayangutta police apprehended the gang at Chandrayangutta and rescued the baby boy.
The accused persons and the boy were handed over to the SHO Chandrayangutta police station for further action. The Chandryangutta police registered a case under sections 80 & 81 of the JJ Act, 2015 and took the up investigation.
