Class 10 student kills mother in Quthbullapur over relationship with 19-year-old boy
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a Class X student allegedly murdered her own mother in Quthbullapur with the help of her boyfriend and his younger brother.
The murder was reportedly planned and executed after the mother objected to the teenage relationship. The crime occurred in NLB Nagar under Jeedimetla Police Station limits.
Relationship sparks fatal conflict
The accused, 16-year-old Tejasree, had been in a relationship with Pagilla Shiva (19), a native of Nalgonda, for the past eight months.
Her mother, Sattla Anjali (39), disapproved of the affair and had recently reprimanded her daughter, questioning her involvement in a romantic relationship at such a young age.
A week before the murder, Tejasree had eloped with Shiva, only to return home three days before the incident.
Descendant of Telangana Icon
It later emerged that the deceased, Anjali, was a great-granddaughter of Chakali Ailamma, a well-known figure in the Telangana peasant rebellion.
Murder planned to remove obstacle
According to investigators, the teenager viewed her mother as an obstacle to her relationship and conspired with Shiva and his younger brother Yashwanth (18) to eliminate her.
On the evening of the murder, Shiva travelled from Nalgonda and waited for the right moment. When Anjali was busy offering prayers at home, Shiva attacked her from behind, covering her face with a bedsheet.
Tejasree then struck her mother on the head with a blunt object, believed to be a sledgehammer or similar tool. Yashwanth followed by slitting the victimās throat with a knife, leading to her immediate death.
Case registered; accused in custody
Jeedimetla Police have registered a case of murder and have taken all three accused Tejasree, Shiva and Yashwanth, into custody. The investigation is ongoing to gather further evidence, including forensic and digital records.
Police officials called it a disturbing case of extreme teenage rebellion turning fatal and warned about the rising trend of youth violence influenced by unchecked relationships and online influence.
