Visakhapatnam: A suspicious death of a police constable at Sivajipalem in Vizag few days ago turned out to be a pre-planned murder.

Ramesh Kumarā€™s wife B Shiva Jyothi allegedly plotted the murder of her husband with the help of her paramour.

Police arrested Siva Jyothi, her paramour Rama Rao, and one more person Neela in connection with the murder on Friday. It may be recalled that Ramesh Kumar, 40, a constable attached to One-Town police station in Vizag city was found dead under suspicious circumstances in his residence at Sivajipalem under MVP Colony police station on August 2, Wednesday.

City police chief CM Thrivikram Varam said their investigation has revealed that Shiva Jyothi got acquainted with neighbor Rama Rao and both allegedly developed intimacy.

Ramesh Kumar got the whiff of the affair and warned his wife. However, she did not mend her attitude and rather planned to kill Ramesh Kumar. On August 1, Shiva Jyothi offered liquor to her husband. When he fell asleep, Rama Rao, his friend Neela, and Shiva Jyothi smothered Rama Rao to death with a pillow.

She tried to make it look like a natural death. On investigation, it was revealed that Shiva Jyothi had given Rs1.5 lakh to her paramour by mortgaging her gold jewelry and Rs one lakh to Neela for killing her husband.
