Cyberabad police arrest Vizag man for posting abusive comment online against Renu Desai

Hyderabad: The Cybercrime Police, Cyberabad, detected a case relating to posting an offensive and abusive comment on a social media platform against actress Renu Desai. During the investigation, the accused responsible for posting the objectionable content was identified and apprehended.

Case details

The accused, Idadasu Apparao, a resident of Visakhapatnam, used to watch Instagram reels in his free time, police said.

Recently, he watched a reel of actress Renu Desai and posted an abusive and offensive comment using a fake account on Instagram created by him. While he was in Visakhapatnam, Cybercrime Police apprehended him, informed him of the reasons, and brought him to the Cyber Crime Police Station, Gachibowli.

During verification, he produced the mobile phone used to post the comment.

Not the first arrest

This is not the first time the police have arrested social media users for posting abusive remarks against the actress. In March, a security guard was arrested in Madhapur in the city and in April, a man from Guntur was arrested by the Cyberabad police for the same reason.
