The auctions, held across all police stations under the jurisdiction of the Cyberabad police, have yielded an impressive sum of approximately Rs. 6 crores.
Cyberabad commissioner of police Stephen Ravindra highlighted the progress made in handling unclaimed vehicles and said, āIn addition to the auctions, eight proclamation notices have been released regarding 4,702 abandoned and unclaimed vehicles within the commissionerateās jurisdiction. These notices serve as a means to alert vehicle owners and provide them with an opportunity to claim their vehicles within a stipulated timeframe.ā
Further, there are more than 6,000 vehicles awaiting resolution at various police stations. To address this, the commissionerate has planned a series of auctions in the coming days. These auctions will not only help clear police premises but also generate revenue for the department.
To ensure transparency, all relevant information about the auctions and the vehicles will be available on the official website of the Cyberabad police commissionerate. Vehicle owners are encouraged to review the details and contact the respective police station authorities if they have any objections or need to provide the necessary documentation.
Vehicle owners have six months to address their concerns and claim their vehicles. If they fail to do so, the vehicles may be included in future auctions.
