Cyberabad police bust fake gaming platform, arrest 5; Rs 14 lakh seized

Hyderabad: Cyberabad’s Cyber Crime Police, along with the Special Operations Team (SOT), have arrested five individuals involved in a large-scale online gaming scam.
As much as Rs 14 lakh has been seized from the 120 bank accounts the accused were using to make fraudulent transactions.
The accused allegedly cheated unsuspecting victims through fake gaming platforms, promising unreal profits and collecting substantial sums of money.
Who are the accused
The arrested persons have been identified as Doppalapudi Naveen Kumar, Vankadri Sandeep Kumar, Chintalapati Prudhvi Ramaraju, Chintalapati Pavan Venkata Naga Bharadwaj and Mamidisetti Ramanjaneyulu.
The gang reportedly operated under the guidance of Satyanarayana Verma and managed the gaming portal Dodge Book777, hosted on the Supago website.
Rs 14 lakh from 120 bank accounts
According to police, the accused used Telegram and WhatsApp groups to manipulate victims.
They supplied over 120 bank accounts and multiple SIM cards to facilitate fraudulent transactions. So far, approximately Rs 14 lakh has been traced in these accounts, which are being seized for further investigation.

Property seized
During the operation, authorities also confiscated two laptops, 30 mobile phones, 32 cheque books, 23 ATM cards and 48 SIM cards. These items are being examined as part of the ongoing probe.
Police advisory
Cyberabad Police have warned citizens not to share OTPs, PINs or bank account details with anyone online. The public is also advised to avoid participating in online betting and gaming apps to prevent falling victim to similar scams.
The case, registered as Cr. No: 2473/2025 under multiple sections of the IPC and IT Act, is being investigated by Inspector G Vijay Kumar under the supervision of ACP A Ravindra Reddy. B Sai Sri, DCP Cyber Crimes, confirmed the arrests and said the investigation is continuing.
