Hyderabad: Three unidentified men murdered a 30-year-old man in full public view at Jiyaguda in the Kulsumpura police station limits on Sunday afternoon. The victim has been identified as Jangam Sainath, An Aadhar card in his pocket identified him.

The video of the gruesome incident went viral. In the video, three people with deadly weapons are seen attacking the victim while he begs for help. The trio pushed the victim to the ground and hit him repeatedly.

ACP of Goshamahal R. Satish Kumar said the motive for the murder and the details of the killers are being investigated. Six special teams have been formed to investigate the murder, he said. The police suspect the murder might be due to rivalry between rowdy sheeters of Kulsumpuram and Old City.

Hailing from Amberpet, Sainath worked as a glass cutter in Amberpet. On Sunday afternoon, while he was on his bike, some men chased him. They pulled him down from the bike and started attacking him. When he ran for help, they chased him on the main road and killed him. Police said after the murder, the accused jumped into Musi river and swam to the other side.
