Delhi crime repeat in Vizag: Women chopped into pieces, stuffed in plastic drum
The incident came to light when the owner forcefully entered his house after the neighbors complained of a foul smell.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 5 Dec 2022 8:23 AM GMTVisakhapatnam: In a shocking incident, a woman's body parts were found in a decomposed state inside a plastic drum at a residence in Madhurawada, under PM Palem police station limits in Visakhapatnam, on Monday. The incident came to light when the owner forcefully entered his house after the neighbors complained of a foul smell. A year ago, the tenant vacated the house without clearing the dues, citing his wife's pregnancy.
On information, North Zone sub-division ACP Ch Srinivas and CI Y Rama Krishna visited the spot and investigated.
According to the preliminary investigation, the owner of the N Ramesh, who runs a welding shop in the Yendada area, rented his house to Rushi, who works at his shop and is a native Srikakulam district. He lived with his wife and one child. He vacated the house without clearing the dues, citing his wife's pregnancy, and left the job too. The house was said to be vacant since a year. After the neighbors in the locality complained of a foul smell coming from the house for two days, the owner forcefully entered the house to clear the belongings in the house.
"The owner found body parts of a woman in a decomposed state (skeleton) in a plastic drum. We are yet to identify the victim", said PM Police CI Y Srikanth. Based on the prima facie, police say that shows the body was cut into pieces a year ago.
