Hyderabad: Rachakonda police detained a drug peddler for selling ganja in the limits of Mangalhat police station

Rajkumar Singh,35, was booked under the Preventive Detention PD Act on November 20.

Police sources said he was involved in four cases including murder and drug peddling.

Police said after his release from jail, he again started selling ganja in the limits of Mangalhat police station.

"It is evident that the accused has been continuously committing offences affecting the people's health. Activities of him are beyond the control of ordinary law and it is necessary to keep him under detention and preventing him from subversive activities," said the police.

He was detained under subsection 2 of section 3 of Andhra Pradesh Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Dacoits, Drug Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Land Grabbers Act 1986, and sent to Central Prison, Chanchalguda.
