Hyderabad: A day after a 26-year-old man who was injured in a road accident in Dubai died in a city hospital here, his brother filed a petition at the Panjagutta police station who then registered a case.

Pusala Mahesh (30), a resident of Madhulapalli village under Pegadapalli mandal in Jagityal district, submitted a petition regarding his younger brother Pusala Ramu. Ramu had been working as a delivery boy in Dubai since 2019.

On 26 February 2023, at around 9.45 p.m, Ramu met with an accident while delivering a package to a customer on his bike. Passengers who witnessed the accident promptly took him to a hospital in Dubai while he was unconscious. Subsequently, Mahesh’s cousins—Srinivas and Chandrashekar, who also reside in Dubai—visited Ramu at the hospital and registered a complaint at the Al Barsha police station in Dubai.

After seven days, on 8 March, Ramu was brought to India in an air ambulance and admitted to NIMS Hospital in Hyderabad. He was later shifted to Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda on 10 March. Unfortunately, Ramu succumbed to his injuries on March 12.

A case has been registered under section 304-A of the IPC and is currently under investigation.
