Engg student ends life in Tirupati hostel; warden dies of shock hours later

Tirupati: A 20-year-old engineering student died by suicide in his college hostel at Gudur town in Tirupati district. Within hours, the hostel warden allegedly died of shock.
On Sunday, the student’s relatives damaged the property and broke windows. The parents alleged that their son died unable to bear the pressure from the management.
Daharaneswara Reddy (20), a private engineering college student in Gudur, hanged himself in the college hostel on Saturday night. He was from YSR Kadapa district and was studying second-year CSE. After learning about the incident, hostel warden B. Srinivsaulu Naidu suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed. He was taken to the hospital by the hostel staff. He reportedly died while undergoing treatment.
The police have registered a case and started an investigation into the student’s suicide.
Meanwhile, the college management said the reason for the suicide was family issues.
