Hyderabad: A 49-year-old superintendent of a government Ayurvedic hospital in Erragadda lodged a complaint with the police, accusing a doctor of harassment and inappropriate behaviour at the workplace.

According to the complaint, 57-year-old Dr P Johnson, who is currently serving at the hospital, allegedly sent the superintendent inappropriate and outrageous messages via WhatsApp, causing her severe mental distress. The situation escalated on February 17, when Dr Johnson reportedly entered the superintendentā€™s chamber and forcibly grabbed her hand.

The superintendent stated that the doctorā€™s behaviour has created an unsafe and hostile work environment, making it difficult for her to perform her duties. In her complaint, she urged the police to take strict and immediate action against Dr Johnson, emphasising that such misconduct should not be tolerated in any professional setting.

As evidence, the superintendent submitted screenshots of the WhatsApp messages exchanged with Dr Johnson. The Borabanda Police have registered a case under section 79,78 OF BNS and started an investigation.
