About World Police Summit
Recognized as a premier global policing event, the World Police Summit draws participation from over 138 countries, featuring elite agencies such as the FBI, NYPD, LAPD, Metropolitan Police (UK), Australian Federal Police, and German Police.
The summit serves as a platform for collaboration, innovation, and the sharing of best practices in law enforcement. Award entries underwent a stringent two-stage evaluation process, judged by a panel of international experts and the Dubai Police.
Evaluation criteria included reduction in drug trafficking, curbing substance abuse, public engagement, and cross-agency cooperation. H-NEW was selected for its holistic and multi-agency approach to combating drug networks.
Its strategy includes collaboration with key national and state bodies such as the Enforcement Directorate, Narcotics Control Bureau, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, GST, Excise, Counter-Intelligence, and others.
The unit has also led targeted enforcement against dark web-based operations, deportation of foreign offenders, and efforts focused on both disruption and rehabilitation.
