What happened?
Anjaneya and his wife Chandrakala are working in Kuwait, while his daughter was under the care of their grandparents and later went to Chandrakala’s sister Lakshmi's house in Annamayya district.
Lakshmi, and her husband, Venkataramana were taking care of their daughter. A few months ago, Venkataramana’s father, Anjaneyulu misbehaved with their daughter, while she was sleeping and abused her. When the girl narrated the incident to her aunt (Lakshmi), she warned her to keep calm.
“A few weeks ago, my wife’s sister Lakshmi called us and asked us to take my daughter home, as there are disputes in the family. After the girl returned to Kuwait, she explained what happened to her and the pain she underwent. Immediately I asked my wife to go and lodge a complaint,” said Anjaneya Prasad in the video.
Police tried to mediate between both families
According to him, the Obulavaripalli police, when asked to lodge a complaint, tried to calm the situation by talking to both families.
“When the relatives started asking about what we had done to punish the person who abused our daughter, my wife attempted suicide and was admitted to the hospital. On the other side, the police were not supporting us. As a responsible father, I did not want my daughter to suffer again. So, I decided to kill him, and do justice for my daughter,” said Anjaneya Prasad.
