Hyderabad: A 32-year-old software employee was found dead in his brother’s apartment in Alkapuri township in Puppalguda under Narsangi police station limits on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Chandolu Vinod Kumar, was from Guntur and used to visit Hyderabad once a month to report in his office at Verizon in Madhapur. He used to stay with his brother Chandolu Rajesh Kumar, who also works in the software industry.

According to the Narsangi police, Vinod Kumar had shared with his brother his worries about losing his job because of an impending layoff in his company. On Thursday afternoon, Chandolu Rajesh Kumar and his wife went to the hospital due to the former’s ill health.

They returned home to find the door of their child’s bedroom closed. Upon opening it, they found Vinod Kumar dead. He had died by suicide.

The police were immediately informed, and the body was taken to a nearby hospital. Despite attempts to revive him, Vinod Kumar was declared dead.

The police have ruled it as a case of suicide and suspect that Vinod Kumar was suffering from depression due to the fear of losing his job. Vinod Kumar had been married for five years, and there were no issues in his marital life.
