Fear of SSC exams pushes 15YO girl to attempt suicide in Hyd's Kulsumpura
At around 8:30 p.m on Saturday, the girl attempted suicide when her father was at work and her mother and sister were at home.

Hyderabad: A 15-year-old girl attempted to kill herself in Iqbal Gunj in Kulsumpura here fearing the upcoming SSC exams. The incident happened on 23 April when the girl was at her home.
At around 8:30 p.m on Saturday, the girl attempted suicide when her father was at work and her mother and sister were at home. According to the Kulsumpura police, hearing the girl shout, her mother and sister rushed to the room and tried to douse off the fire. They immediately took her to the hospital. Later, she was shifted to Osmania Hospital where the girl is currently undergoing treatment.
Denying any sort of parental pressure, Kulsumpura SI said, "The girl had some health issues for the past couple of days and had not attended school for the last 15 days. With the Class 10 exams nearing in May, the girl was worried about not having completed the syllabus. Due to this fear, she attempted suicide."
Meanwhile, the Kulsumpra police have filed a case.
