Fire breaks out at clothing shop in Secunderabad’s Paalika Bazaar, no causalities

The police have registered a case and are conducting further inquiries into the incident

Fire breaks out at clothing shop in Secunderabad’s Paalika Bazaar, no causalities

Hyderabad: A major fire erupted at a readymade clothing shop in Paalika Bazaar, near Secunderabad railway station.

Located under the jurisdiction of Secunderabad market police station, the incident occurred on early Sunday morning, resulting in panic among residents as thick smoke billowed from the shop. Fortunately, no one died or got injured since the incident took place early in the morning.


In response to a distress call, the police and fire department swiftly arrived at the scene. The firemen were able to bring the flames under control with the assistance of three fire engines. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire originated from a short circuit.

The police have registered a case and are conducting further inquiries into the incident.


Minister visits shop

After learning about the fire, the minister of Animal Husbandry of Telangana, Talasani Srinivas Yadav immediately reached the spot and supervised the rescue operations.


Timeline of fire accidents in Secunderabad

In addition to this fire accident, Secunderabad has witnessed several of them since January this year.

Deccan Mall fire: On January 28, a fire broke out at the Deccan Mall in Secunderabad. The fire started on the third floor of the mall and quickly spread to other floors. Three people were killed in the fire and several others were injured.

Swapnalok Complex fire: On February 14, a fire broke out at the Swapnalok Complex in Secunderabad. The fire started in a restaurant on the ground floor of the complex and quickly spread to other floors.

Secunderabad Club fire: On March 17, a fire broke out at the Secunderabad Club. The fire started in the main heritage building and quickly spread to the other buildings. The loss of the club was a major blow to the heritage of Secunderabad.
