`Flesh': Police invoke PD Act against bawd; send her to Chenchalguda jail

Rachakonda police invoked PD Act against Vasireddy Sudha Rani and detained her in a Chenchalguda jail.

Hailing from Tenali Mandal of Guntur, she was running a prostitution racket in Hyderabad limits. She has been procuring girls from Mumbai, AP, Karnataka, and other parts of the country.

Sudha was running brothel houses in Rachakonda and Hyderabad City Commissionerate limits for making quick money.

Police said she was involved in as many as 5 cases of procuring, inducing girls for the sake of prostitution, and running brothel houses with them in various parts of the city since 2015.

Despite her arrest several times earlier, police said Sudha resumed her activities soon after her release on bail. As per the police, she claims different names before the police whenever arrested.

As part of the operation, police rescued one female victim from Karnataka. She has been sent to a rescue home.
