Gang running Aadhar racket busted, 4 held in Hyderabad
Four members of a gang, including a fake gazetted officer, were arrested and rubber stamps and Aadhar enrolment forms were seized from them.

The sleuths of the commissioner's task force, south zone team, Hyderabad, along with the Chatrinaka police nabbed four persons who were making corrections in Aadhar card with the help of a fake gazetted officer and collecting commission from people.
The gang members have been identified as Pagolu Ravi Kumar (56) who posed as a gazetted officer, ThagaramShastry (37), Syed Aijaz Ali (22), and Manikanta (27). All are from Hyderabad.
The prime accused P. Ravi Kumar worked as an assistant engineer in the irrigation development corporation department. He took voluntary retirement in 2000. After his retirement, he worked as a supervisor at a construction site but later he quit. He hatched a plan with Manikanta and Syed Aijaz to make money by getting a fake gazetted officer's signature on Aadhar enrollment/updation forms.
Ravi Kumar arranged for stamps of deputy executive engineer, TSIDC, and also created a fake identity card. Later, Manikanta and Syed Aijaz contacted Shastry who runs TJR online service at Chatrinaka. The gang used to collect Aadhar enrollment/updation forms from customers who wanted to update their names, address, or date of birth and collected huge sums for the same. The Aadhar enrolment forms were certified by Ravi Kumar using the fake stamps.
Based on credible information, the commissioner's task force, the south zone team, and the Chatrinaka police apprehended the four persons. They were handed over to SHO Chatrinaka along with the seized materials for further investigation.
