Gang who robbed MRR Wines owner arrested in Vanasthalipuram; Rs. 18L seized
When the relative pressed Nayeem to return the money, Nayeem and his associates Raheem Gori, Omer, and Ali hatched a plan to first pay the Rs. 50 lakhs loan and then steal the money back.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 16 Jan 2023 11:18 AM GMTHyderabad: Four people who robbed Rs. 25 lakhs from the owner of MRR Wines in Autonagar in Vanasthalipuram were arrested by the Rachakonda police on Monday. Cash worth Rs. 18 lakhs along with a Mercedes Benz car, a Yamaha Fascino bike, and five mobile phones were recovered from the four accused.
The arrested persons are Mohammed Abdul Hameed alias Nayeem, the mastermind behind the plan, from Bhavani Nagar in Hyderabad; Omer Bin Hamsa Al Jabri alias Omer from Yakutpura; Ali Bin Al Jabri from Yakurpura; and Fahad Bin Abdul Rahman alias Fahad from Charminar. One of the accused, Raheem Gori, is absconding.
Borrow, return, & steal
According to the police, Nayeem knew one of the relatives of Venkat Reddy, the owner of MRR Wines. He took a loan of Rs. 50 lakhs from one of Venkat Reddyās relatives and did not pay it back. When the relative pressed Nayeem to return the money, Nayeem and his associates Raheem Gori, Omer, and Ali hatched a plan to first pay the Rs. 50 lakhs loan and then steal the money back.
About a month ago, Nayeem informed Venkatās relative that he would pay the money back within 15 days to which the latter asked Nayeem to hand over the money to Venkat Reddy. Nayeem called Venkat and told him he would give the money within 15 days and asked him where he should come with the money. Venkat told him to come near his shop MRR Wines in Autonagar, Vanasthalipuram.
Nayeem conducted a recce of the area and prepared a roadmap to execute their plan. On 6 January, Nayeem and his friend came near MRR Wines and handed over Rs. 50 lakhs to Venkat Reddy. In the meantime, Gori and Omer were waiting near Pista House in Vanasthalipuram on their bike. Venkat packed the money and he along with his worker started on their bike with the money. Gori and Omer followed the bike and near the Saibaba Temple, Kamalanagar, Gori and Omer intercepted the bike, beat them and tried to rob them.
As people gathered, they fled with Rs. 25 lakhs. Nayeem gave Rs. 5 lakhs each to Gori, Omer, and Ali. Gori and Omer gave Rs. 1 lakh each to Fahad who runs the Air Ticketing Travelling Agency at Charminar to prepare their documents to go abroad to evade arrest.
On Monday morning, the four were arrested when they were on their way to Injapur Kaman to collect their tickets and documents from Fahad.
