Borrow, return, & steal

According to the police, Nayeem knew one of the relatives of Venkat Reddy, the owner of MRR Wines. He took a loan of Rs. 50 lakhs from one of Venkat Reddy’s relatives and did not pay it back. When the relative pressed Nayeem to return the money, Nayeem and his associates Raheem Gori, Omer, and Ali hatched a plan to first pay the Rs. 50 lakhs loan and then steal the money back.

About a month ago, Nayeem informed Venkat’s relative that he would pay the money back within 15 days to which the latter asked Nayeem to hand over the money to Venkat Reddy. Nayeem called Venkat and told him he would give the money within 15 days and asked him where he should come with the money. Venkat told him to come near his shop MRR Wines in Autonagar, Vanasthalipuram.

Nayeem conducted a recce of the area and prepared a roadmap to execute their plan. On 6 January, Nayeem and his friend came near MRR Wines and handed over Rs. 50 lakhs to Venkat Reddy. In the meantime, Gori and Omer were waiting near Pista House in Vanasthalipuram on their bike. Venkat packed the money and he along with his worker started on their bike with the money. Gori and Omer followed the bike and near the Saibaba Temple, Kamalanagar, Gori and Omer intercepted the bike, beat them and tried to rob them.

As people gathered, they fled with Rs. 25 lakhs. Nayeem gave Rs. 5 lakhs each to Gori, Omer, and Ali. Gori and Omer gave Rs. 1 lakh each to Fahad who runs the Air Ticketing Travelling Agency at Charminar to prepare their documents to go abroad to evade arrest.

On Monday morning, the four were arrested when they were on their way to Injapur Kaman to collect their tickets and documents from Fahad.
