Hyderabad: Cyberabad Drug Disposal Committee has destroyed 2,380 kg of drugs worth Rs 7,17,82,650.
The narcotics were seized in 155 cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
The narcotics were seized in Balanagar, Madhapur, Medchal, Rajendranagar, and Shamshabad zones covering 31 police stations within Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
Under the supervision of Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) director Director Sandeep Shandilya, and Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty, Cyberabad Police Disposal Committee destroyed 2,380 kg of narcotic drugs at GJ Multiclave., a common bio-medical waste treatment and disposal facility in Edulapally Village, Nandigama Mandal, Rangareddy district.
Of the total 2,380 kg of narcotics, 2,286.679 kg were ganja, 354 grams ganja plant, 45.769 kg ganja chocolates, 8.298 liters Hashish Oil, 87.518 grams MDMA, 72.97 grams Cocaine, 26.756 kg Charas, 10.010 kg Alprazolam, 1.64 kg Opium Poppy, 132 grams Ganja Powder and 8 units LSD blots.
Drug Disposal Committee includes Chairman, DCP Crimes K Narasimha, ACP Cyber Crimes Ravinder Reddy, CCRB ACP Kalinga Rao, Narcotics Addl DCP G. Narsimha Reddy, and their team.
