GHMC Superintendent demands bribe as a reward for sanctioning funeral money, trapped
By Newsmeter Network Published on 23 Feb 2021 1:30 PM GMTHyderabad: The sleuth of Anti-Corruption Bureau- Telangana caught Vadthy Phool Singh- Superintendent of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (circle 10) accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.
The ACB officials, on 23rd February laid a trap at Falaknuma office of GHMC where the man was caught red-handed. According to the officials Phool Singh demanded bribe from complainant Kranthi Kumar from Moosarambagh, as a reward for processing the file for sanction of funeral charges of Kumar's mother and to handover him the cheque of Rs 20,000.
The bribe money was recovered, while the accused was arrested and produced before the special court hearing ACB cases.
The sleuths appeal to citizens to approach the ACB on toll free number 1064 against corrupt officials.
