In response to questions about the eventās organisers, ACP Munawar identified Meer Ali as the individual responsible for organising the expo.
Expressing her concern over the incident, Maria Arifuddin, an educationalist and social activist said, "How can the government allow round-the-clock permissions to operate business when they cannot provide enough security. That's why an incident happened at the ongoing Ramazan expo at Kingās Palace. There are no protocol followed and scores of people gathered at a time. It looks like that, the government doesn't care about the lives of the people and they are giving such permissions for the expos without any enough security and police personnel."
