Guntur man arrested for abusive remark against actress Renu Desai on social media

Hyderabad: The Cybercrime Police, Cyberabad, detected a case relating to posting an offensive and abusive comment on a social media platform against actress Renu Desai. During the investigation, the accused responsible for posting the objectionable content was identified and apprehended.

Case details

The police said that the accused was identified as Chennaiah Runjala, a resident of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

During his free time, he frequently watched reels on YouTube. Recently, the accused watched a reel of actress Renu Desai. After watching the reel, the accused posted an abusive and offensive comment on his YouTube account. While the accused was present at Guntur, the Cybercrime Police apprehended him and informed him of the reasons for his apprehension and brought him to the Cyber Crime Police Station, Gachibowli.

During verification, the accused produced his mobile phone through which he had posted the said comment.
