Hyderabad: 48-year-old gets 20 years in jail for raping 7-year-old

Hyderabad: A man was sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 50,000 for sexually abusing a minor girl.
The incident occurred on June 29, 2019, in Yellammabanda, Jagadgirigutta.
On June 29, 2019, Gundala Mahipal Reddy, 48, abducted a 7-year-old girl and raped her.
When the victim raised the alarm, the neighbor caught the man and handed him over to the police.
Jagathgirigutta police Inspector A Ganga Reddy registered a case. During the investigation, he arrested the accused and remanded him to judicial custody. Later IO filed a charge sheet in the court.
Four years on, Metropolitan Sessions Judge at III ADJ cum POCSO Court Kukatpally Medchal Malkajgiri convicted the accused. He was sentenced to 20 years in jail and fined Rs 50,000.
