Hyderabad: Actress Dimple Hayathi rams car into DC traffic’s vehicle; booked
The incident took place in the upscale Jubilee Hills, HUDA Enclave, Journalist Colony
By Newsmeter Network Published on 23 May 2023 2:45 AM GMTPolice have registered a case against prominent film actress Dimple Hayathi for allegedly ramming her car into the vehicle of an IPS officer.
The incident took place in the upscale Jubilee Hills, HUDA Enclave, Journalist Colony, where both Dimple Hayathi and IPS officer Rahul Hegde reside.
Rahul Hegde, who serves as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, had parked his government vehicle in the designated parking area of SKR Apartments.
Hegde’s driver alleged that Dimple Hayathi had been repeatedly kicking the IPS officer's car while exiting the parking area.
However, the situation escalated on the night of May 14 when she intentionally reversed her car and bumped into the officer's vehicle.
Reports suggest that Hayathi's behaviour became increasingly aggressive when confronted by the officer's driver. She responded arrogantly and dismissed any consequences.
Later Driver Chetan Kumar lodged a complaint at Jubilee Hills Police Station. Police have registered a case under section 353 (assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from the discharge of duty), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 279 (rash driving) of the Indian Penal Code. The charges primarily revolve around the alleged assault on a government vehicle and the use of offensive language against a public servant.
Dimple Hayathi was summoned for questioning at Jubilee Hills Police Station on Monday. She later recorded her statement and addressed inquiries related to the incident.
