Hyderabad: AD Education among 3 officers arrested for accepting Rs 80K bribe
The officer had demanded the bribe to issue NOC for the upgradation of the school to CBSE standard from the academic year 2023-2024

Telangana: Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested three officers including Assistant Director of School Education Department for accepting bribe.
ACB said Aysola Sai Purna Chander Rao, Assistant Director at Regional Joint Director, School Education Department, Hyderabad, demanded and accepted the bribe of Rs.80000. He was caught red-handed accepting the bribe.
Complainant K. Shekhar handed over the bribe money to Doddy Jagjeevan, Superintendent. He then passed it to Aysola Sai Purna.

The bribe amount of Rs. 80,000 was recovered from the possession of the officers. The fingers of both hands yielded positive result in the chemical test.
Background
On August 29 and September 12, Satish, Junior Assistant, (P.A. to RJD), Office of Regional Joint Director, School Education, Hyderabad demanded the bribe. He instructed the complainant to meet Aysola Sai and Doddy to finalize the bribe amount so that the file could be processed in the RJD office.
ACB said the officers performed their duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
ACB said Aysola Sai Purna Chander Rao, Doddy Jagjeevan, and Satish are being arrested and produced before the Principal Special Judge, SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad.
The case is under investigation.
ACB has asked people to call the toll-free number 1064 in case any public servant demands a bribe.
