Hyderabad: Housing apartment guards assault Swiggy delivery boy; injured

Hyderabad: A Swiggy delivery boy was reportedly assaulted by security guards at an apartment in Hyderabad's Gachibowli area. Shantha Kumar, 22, had gone to deliver the parcel to NCC Nagarjuna Residency when the incident occurred. According to the Raidurgam Police, after leaving the building, a security guard asked Kumar whether he had used the service lift or the main lift.

“When Kumar indicated that he had used the service lift, a group of six security guards allegedly verbally abused him, physically restrained him in a security room, and repeatedly punched him. He sustained internal injuries. Kumar was eventually able to escape from the scene,” police said. Raidurgam Police have registered a case under sections 342, 323, 504, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, and an investigation is currently underway.
