Hyderabad: Bhadradri-Kottagudem RDO’s husband ends life; case registered

The victim had left his legal profession due to health issues. He had been receiving treatment for depression for the past five to six years

Hyderabad: A 58-year-old advocate ended his life at his residence in Saikrupa Apartments, Bapunagar.

Identified as N.V. Chandrasekhar, he was the husband of Bhadradri-Kottagudem's Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), Ratnakalyani.

Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar Police Station Inspector K. Saidulu, Chandrasekhar said the victim had left his legal profession due to health issues. He had been receiving treatment for depression for the past five to six years.

Chandrasekhar and his wife had returned home from Kothagudem Tuesday morning. Later that day, Ratnakalyani left for the office, leaving Chandrasekhar alone at home. It was during her absence that Chandrasekhar took his own life.

When she returned home, she found her husband's body and immediately contacted the police. The authorities registered a case and shifted Chandrasekhar's body to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem examination.

The couple has a son who is studying in America. Chandrasekhar's death has come as a shock to the family, friends, and colleagues, who remember him as a loving husband and father.
