Hyderabad: Police have registered a case after the BRS leader from Nalgonda blew the lid off fake Harish Anna Seva Samithi.

On May 23, Punjagutta Police received a complaint from G Mallesh Goud alleging that a man by the name of Telangana Venkateswara Rao has planned to approach famous builders and industrialists to extract large sum of money through fraudulent means.

He urged police to take necessary action against Perala Venkatesh alias Venkat Venkateshwara Rao and Rajesh Kumar.

“I am a senior state leader of Bharata Rastra Samithi and served as the vice president for TRS Kattamgnor Mandal, Nalgonda. I am a strong supporter of finance minister Tanneeru Harish Rao, I am also the president of the Harish Anna Seva Samithi in Nalgonda district. Every year. on the occasion of Harish Rao’s birthday on June 3, I organize various charitable activities including the distribution of fruits and food among the poor as well as blood donation camps in all assembly constituencies in Nalgonda district,” he said

He said during his recent visits to the minister’s residence, he came across a man Telangana Venkateswara Rao. “On May 23, I met him at the CM camp office, Panjagutta. I noticed that he has printed a colored receipt book of Harish Anna Seva Samithi under Registration No.1963/2016, The office address mentioned is 1-126, Vivekananda Colony, Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The book was printed at Laxmi Printing Press, Shapoor. The front page of the receipt book bears my photograph and wrongly states my name as Gundralia) [whereas my actual surname is Gundala), designating me as the president,” he said

He said Telangana Venkateshwar Rao is mentioned as vice president and Gaddamidi Rajesh Kumar is designated as the general secretary. “I want to clarify that our Seva Samithi has no connection or affiliation with them. My photograph, name, and designation have been used without my knowledge or consent. This receipt book has been printed without proper registration. Furthermore, Telangana Venkateswara Rao has planned to approach famous builders and industrialists with the intention of collecting large sums of money through fraudulent means,” he said.

Later Punjagutta Police registered a case against the duo.
