Hyderabad: Cellphone snatching gang busted; DJ, courier boy, tea seller held

The accused have been identified as Yakarulu Arun (21) who works as a courier boy, Mallela Vijaya Sai who works as a DJ player (19), and Shanamoni Suresh (21) who works at a tea stall.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Zone Hyderabad City, Sunil Dutt, said on January 20, they received a complaint that a bike-borne man snatched a cell phone from a man phone when he arrived at MGBS from Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh.
The complainant told the police that while crossing the road at CBS, the accused came on a two-wheeler and snatched his mobile phone.
Modus operandi
Police said the accused are friends and addicted to alcohol and ganja. Police said to meet their expenditures, they are stealing valuables and snatching mobiles from road passers.
On January 20, the accused moved around colonies to commit the crime. The trio committed more than three crimes in Saidabad, Chikkadapally, and Saroornagar police station limits.
