Fabrication Contractor Y Sudhakar Chary. 

Hyderabad: A 52-year-old fabrication contractor was killed in a freak accident outside Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate office in Banjara Hills.

Identified as Y Sudhakar Chary, he was supervising the welding works when the beams weighing approximately 6 tonnes crashed and fell on him. He was rushed to City Neuro Hospital, but he died en route.

A resident of Moulali Housing Board in Hyderabad, he hailed from the Gagillapur area in the Medak district. He is survived by his son Venkatasumanth, and daughter, Srisushmalu.

Chary was the MD of Shri Said Industries. He had worked in the industrial sector for almost 30 years. A member of the Charlapalli Industrial Association (CIA), Telangana Industrialist Federation (TIF), and Charlapalli Aila, he played a vital role during the Telangana movement. Charlapalli industrial community has slipped into shock after his sudden death. Banjara Hills Inspector S Narender said a case has been registered after Chary's son Sumanth Chary, filed a complaint.

Chary was contracted to erect the fence outside the Telangana State Police Integrated Command and Control Centre (TSPICCC) for crowd control. The accident occurred around 3:30 pm on Tuesday when the beams were being set up and welded. Sadly, Chary was alone at the spot at the time of the incident
