Be alert a fake Instagram account of senior IPS officer Anjani Kumar created by cyber criminals

The account not only infringes upon his privacy but also poses a serious threat to his reputation.
Upon discovery of this deceptive account, Anjani Kumar's assistant Haleem filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Cybercrime Police. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
Efforts are underway to identify the individuals responsible for creating and managing this account. Pertinently, cybercriminals had recently hacked the Twitter accounts of the governor and many celebrities.
This incident underscores the importance of cyber security and the need for public figures to remain vigilant against such fraudulent activities. Police are urging the public to report any suspicious online behavior and to verify the authenticity of social media accounts before engaging with them
Fake accounts
Scamsters are using pictures of IPS officers from news websites and their personal profiles and creating fake accounts to mislead people. These accounts which are mostly on the platform of Instagram which has a large number of young followers is misleading people. These fake accounts are being misused said the police and for that reason people have been asked to be very cautious.
Reports of fake accounts extorting money, threatening have also been received by police.
Be aware of these fake accounts and don't fall prey to them, advise police.
