Hyderabad drug bust: 316g meth worth ₹63.2 lakh seized in Jeedimetla, 2 arrested
Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla Police, in coordination with the SOT Quthbullapur team, busted a drug network and seized 316 grams of Methamphetamine worth ₹63.20 lakh.
Two persons, including a drug peddler and a consumer, were arrested during the raid. The total value of the seized property is estimated at ₹63.38 lakh.
Raid conducted at Ganesh Nagar
The police conducted the raid on April 3 at Ganesh Nagar near Kaman Chintal under the jurisdiction of Jeedimetla Police Station.
Acting on credible information, the team intercepted the accused and recovered the narcotic substance along with other materials used in drug distribution.
Accused details
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
Vemula Sai Kumar, a resident of Jeedimetla, who was allegedly supplying Methamphetamine to local consumers.
Tirumala Arvind alias Maari, a resident of Jagadgirigutta, identified as a consumer.
Preliminary investigation revealed that both accused were addicted to narcotic substances.
Main supplier on the run
DCP (Quthbullapur Zone, Cyberabad) N. Koti Reddy said that the main supplier was identified as Poojith, a resident of Quthbullapur, who is currently absconding.
Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend him. He also stated that several other consumers linked to the case have been identified and are being tracked.

Case registered under NDPS Act
A case has been registered as Crime No. 306/2026 under Sections 8(c) read with 22(c), 27(b), and 29 of the NDPS Act.
The arrested persons and seized property have been produced before the court for further legal proceedings.
