Hyderabad: Drug peddler held with 2,560 Ganja chocolates en route to Punjab

The sleuths of the Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT), Madhapur team and Petbasheerabad Police busted the operation. The 64 packets of Ganja chocolates weighed about 12 kg 680 grams and were worth Rs 1,02,400.
The accused has been identified as Tamil Issar Singh (55) and has been booked under (case no 739/2023) under sections 20 (b) (ii).
The accused family migrated to Telangana and settled in Suryapet town, making household items. Issar Singh shifted to Gajularamaram 10 years ago and due to his bad habits, his earnings were not sufficient to maintain his family.
He procured Ganja chocolates from an unidentified drug peddler from Anandpur Sahib of Ranipur district of Punjab and began selling them to construction labour and others for Rs 40 for each packet.
On enquiry, he revealed that he purchased 12.7 kg of Ganja chocolates and 680 grams of dry ganja powder from an unknown person in Punjab.
On credible Information, the SOT Madhapur Team and Petbasheerabad Police apprehended the accused at Suchitra X Road Auto Stand. Apart from 80 gm of Ganja, the police seized other incriminating evidence with a total worth of Rs 1,05,900.
