Hyderabad Excise enforcement sleuths seize 55 blots of LSD, arrest 1

The Excise enforcement team of Hyderabad arrested one person in Medhipatnam here and seized 55 blots of LSD on 8 December. Meanwhile, in another incident, they also recovered three kg ganja and arrested three persons from Bowenpally and Moosapet.

Hyderabad: The Excise enforcement team of Hyderabad arrested one person in Medhipatnam here and seized 55 blots of LSD on 8 December. Meanwhile, in another incident, they also recovered three kg ganja and arrested three persons from Bowenpally and Moosapet.

Following reliable information, the officials conducted route watch near Mehdipatnam and seized the LSD blots from 22-year-old Mohd. Sohaib Khan of Rethi Bowli in Hyderabad. A two-wheeler used to transport the contraband, an iPhone, and 12 mobile phones were seized from him.

Sohaib purchased 100 LSD blots of 350 micrograms each at Rs. 850 per blot and sold them for Rs. 1,700-2,000 per blot. He ordered the LSD through Instagram and paid for it through Bitcoins. He had already sold 45 blots to customers. All of them will be charged under Section 27 of the NDPS Act for the consumption of narcotic drug/psychotropic substance, the Excise officials said.

The original case papers along with the arrested person, seized contraband, and drawn samples were handed over to the SHO, prohibition and Excise station, Golconda.

In another incident, the Excise enforcement team seized three kg ganja from Rajannagari Sandeep Reddy in Bowenpally, Secunderabad, on Tuesday. During inquiry, it was revealed that Bolla Durga Prasad and Kancharala Sathyanarayana had supplied the ganja to Sandeep. A motorbike and three mobile phones were recovered from their possession.

The Excise officials also found that Unnam Shivaji of Medchal district used to supply hashish oil to Sandeep. Shivaji is absconding.

Durga Prasad started dealing ganja following financial troubles brought on by the lockdown. He purchased the drugs from Araku and Odisha for Rs. 3,000 per kg and sold it for Rs. 500 per 15 grams to customers at Moosapet, Bharathnagar, Sanathnagar, and Bowenpally areas.

The original case papers along with the three accused persons, seized contraband, and drawn samples were handed over to SHO, prohibition and Excise station, Secunderabad.
