Hyderabad: Fake land registration gang busted; 7 arrested, sale deads, cars seized

Police seized sale deeds, two cars, a mobile phone, and Rs 7,250 all worth Rs 1,02,30,000.
The accused have been identified as Gorintla Narsimha, Gundapaneni Venu Gopal Rao, Donthi Sai Raj, Bashipangu Nagaraju, Edulaa Srinivas Reddy, Kothapally Krishna, and Telu Veeresh.
They have been arrested on the charges of creating a forged sale deed and executing an agreement of sale cum GPA and making efforts to take possession of vacant land. Police have registered a case under section 420, 418, 468, and 471 of IPC.
Police nabbed them after Pasupulete Laxmi Venkat, a resident of Champapet, filed a complaint stating that his grandmother purchased a house plot in 1986 at Nadargul. Later he found out that the land is registered under some other name.
According to police, the modus operandi of the accused includes to identify vacant plots which were not been claimed for long. They used to obtain certified copies of such plots to prepare fake and forged documents. As part of the plan, the gang also made fake Aadhaar cards of the original vendor, and execute the sale.
Likewise, the accused took the original document and got it registered by impersonating Pasupulete Laxmi Venkat's grandmother Laxmi Narshimma who passed away in 1994.
The accused used to select poor and same age group people and prepare fake Aadhar on their names. They used to prepare fake documents.
