Hyderabad: Juvenile sentenced to 3 years for sexually assaulting minor; sent to special home

A local court sentenced a juvenile to three years imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2016. Fifth Additional CMM Court, Hyderabad, convicted the juvenile under section 376 (2) (i) (n) of IPC and Sec 5 (J) (ii), 5 (l) 5 (m) read with 6 of POCSO Act-2012. The case was registered in Chandrayangutta police station in 2016.

The convict has been sent to Special Home for Boys to serve his incarceration period.

Based on the complaint of the victim's relative, a case was registered at Chandrayangutta Police Station.

M.A. Bari, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Falaknuma Division, Hyderabad investigated the case and ensured fast submission of the charge sheet and a speedy trial. Additional Public Prosecutor Chandu appeared for the police.
