Hyderabad: A 63-year-old man was convicted for the murder of his son and was sentenced to seven years of jail. A fine of Rs 600 was also levied.
The case is about Pagadala Mohan Rao Naidu, 63, a resident of Krishna Nagar, Neredmet. His son Mahender Naidu, 28, used to be a delivery boy for the Indian Gas Company but later left his job and become addicted to alcohol. He used to come home in an inebriated state often and quarrel with his parents.
On 10 October 2018, Mohan Rao, his friend, and Mahender drank alcohol together which later resulted in a fight between the father and son. The quarrel only escalated which led to Mohan Rao stabbing his son in the chest and stomach with a knife. Mahender died on the spot. Rao was taken into custody after the incident, and was sentenced to prison on Tuesday.
