Hyderabad: Unidentified men abducted and robbed a 29-year-old movie manager at Srinagar Colony.

Identified as Medikonda Hareesh, he was assaulted on April 26.

According to Panjagutta police, two unknown persons knocked on his door on the night of April 26. As he opened the door, he saw the two individuals. He tried to close the door, but they forcefully barged in. One of them pointed a knife and threatened to kill him.

They called up another person and asked him to bring two beer bottles. They forced him to drink the beer. They later hit him and broke the bottles. They took his two rings, one bracelet, and two cell phones before taking him along to eat biryani.

When they stopped near Deccan Hotel to smoke cigarettes, Hareesh managed to jump off the auto and shouted for help. Some people came to his aid prompting the abductors to flee with his gold ornaments and mobiles.

Hareesh was so traumatized that he did not immediately register a complaint. However, after speaking to his friends, he decided to lodge a complaint against the two unknown individuals. Police registered a case under section 363, 386, 454 read with 34 of IPC, and launched an investigation.
