Hyderabad: A young man was brutally murdered in the Old City area of Hyderabad.

The attack occurred at around 10:30 PM under the jurisdiction of Asif Nagar police station.

Identified as Mohd Qutbuddin, 27, he was a furniture polisher by profession. Hailing from Ganga Bowli, he was chased in public view by a group of people armed with knives and sticks. , They stabbed him multiple times in the stomach, neck, and chest. Despite his injuries, Qutbuddin managed to run to his elder brother Mohd Abdul Raheemā€™s shop, where he collapsed in a pool of blood

Locals helped Abdul Raheem rush Qutbuddin to a nearby private hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The assailants have been identified as Syed Imran, Taher, Aman, and others.

The gruesome attack was recorded by passersby and later posted on social media, spreading shock and outrage. Asif Nagar police have registered a case under Section 302 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

According to police sources, Qutbuddin and his brother Abdul Raheem had previously been involved in a murder case in which Syed Mujahid was killed. They had recently been released on bail. It is suspected that Syed Mujahid's family members planned and executed this attack as an act of revenge.

In a separate incident, another murder took place under the jurisdiction of Balapur police station. Sameer, a 28-year-old decoration worker residing in Hafez Baba Nagar, was killed by unknown assailants in Royal Colony, Balapur.

Balapur police, along with a forensic team, reached the spot and started their investigation. Sameer's body has been shifted to Osmania Mortuary for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and investigations are underway.
