Hyderabad: Police have booked Bollineni Sridhar, managing director of Suvarna Bhoomi Infra Developers, for allegedly duping a woman who purchased a plot in Wanaparthy district after paying over Rs 25 lakh.
Plot deal in 2023
According to the complaint, in 2023, the firm launched a venture named Suvarnam Srinivasam at Kothakota, Wanaparthy.
A 46-year-old woman approached two brokers, Bhaskar and Girivardhan, and agreed to buy a 166 sq. yard plot at Rs 15,000 per sq. yard, amounting to Rs 25.49 lakh.
Full payment, no sale deed
The complainant said she paid the full amount through cheques at the companyās office and received acknowledgement slips. However, despite repeated follow-ups, the sale was never registered in her name.
Allegations against MD
She alleged that Sridhar not only failed to complete the registration but also stopped responding to her calls and refused to meet her, leaving her with no option but to approach the police.
Case under investigation
A zero FIR was first filed at Shadnagar in November 2024 and later transferred to Banjara Hills police, who are now investigating the case.
