Adulteration gang used ammonium sulphate to increase milk density to avoid detection in Hyderabad

On a tip-off, sleuths of the Commissioners Task Force, the South West zone team, and Habeeb Nagar police conducted a raid on a manufacturing unit of adulterated milk and apprehended one accused and two laborers. A huge quantity of incriminating material was also seized from their possession.
The accused have been identified as P Prabhakar Reddy, of Kachiguda, Hyderabad; Santosh Sada, 25 of Nampally; and . Kodiganti Pavan, 24 of Jiyaguda.
Two tins each containing 40 liters of adulterated milk, 15 packets, one liter of ammonium sulphate one kesar yellow color, one sealing machine, and other materials were seized during the raid.
Police said the accused Prabhakar Reddy had been running a milk business on the premises for a few years. āHe used to purchase the milk from HF Cows, Gaddiannaram, Dilshuknagar for Rs. 50 per liter and was adding some amount of water. To increase the density of milk, he used to add ammonium sulphate and kesar yellow color. With the help of the two laborers, he was delivering milk in Habeeb Nagar and Mehdipatnam, ā police said.
