Hyderabad: Police have launched an investigation after a guest allegedly stalked an Air India crew member at Green Park Hotel in Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar here.
This follows the complaint filed by an Air India crew member from Kerala. According to the Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar police, the incident occurred on the night of March 25.
Vinod Tekumatla, the security manager at the Green Park Hotel, reported that a male guest arrived at the Tulip Restaurant for dinner around 11:15 PM. At the same time, a 29-year-old Air India crew member, who had been staying at the hotel since March 23, was returning to her room after dining at the same restaurant.
As she walked toward the elevator, the male guest entered the lift simultaneously. The elevator requires access control for use by female guests. After both entered, the lift reached the guest floor, and the male guest followed the crew member to her room.
Once she entered her room, the male guest reportedly lingered in the corridor for a few minutes before ringing her doorbell. She did not respond and remained inside her room. The male guest then left the corridor and exited the hotel.
The crew member later informed the hotel reception about the incident. The security supervisor, Rajesh, was immediately notified. However, by the time the security team arrived, the individual had already left the premises.
The individual has been identified as Rajshekar Gowrigari, a resident of Uppal. In response to the complaint, a case has been registered under section 78 BNS and is currently under investigation.
