Hyderabad: Pregnant woman murdered, body dismembered by husband in Medipally
Police are probing the case from all angles, while forensic teams have joined the investigation

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident that sent shockwaves across Medchal district, a pregnant woman was allegedly murdered and her body dismembered by her husband at Balaji Hills in Medipally.
Gruesome discovery
The victim, Swathi alias Jyothi (22), was living with her husband Mahender Reddy in a rented house at Boduppal, Medipally, after shifting there a month ago.
On Saturday, neighbours reportedly heard suspicious noises from their house. When they went to check, they found Swathi’s body cut into pieces and stuffed into a bag.
Crime and Confession
According to police, the couple, natives of Kamareddyguda in Vikarabad district, had frequent marital disputes.
On the day of the crime, Mahender allegedly killed Swathi, dismembered her body and packed it in a bag, waiting for an opportunity to dispose of it.
During interrogation, he admitted to discarding Swathi’s legs, hands and head in a marshy pit. So far, only the torso has been recovered.
Police action
Police rushed to the spot on receiving information and arrested Mahender. A search operation is underway to recover the missing body parts. Investigators confirmed that Swathi was pregnant at the time of the murder.

The gruesome murder has left locals in shock. Police are probing the case from all angles, while forensic teams have joined the investigation.
