Hyderabad: Two intermediate students reportedly died by suicide in Bachupally and Pocharam.

The students took extreme steps after they were allegedly unable to cope with pressure from their college management.

The incidents have sparked protests by student organizations and the victims' families, who are demanding justice.

In the first case, a second-year MPC student at Impulse College in Pragathinagar, Bachupally, ended her life in a hostel room. According to Bachupally police, the 18-year-old, a resident of Nizamabad district, did not attend her classes that morning. When college staff checked her hostel room, they discovered her lifeless body.

Although she was rushed to the hospital, doctors declared her dead on arrival. Her parents have alleged that harassment by the college management drove her to take her life. They have filed a complaint with the police.

In the second incident, a first-year MPC student at Narayana College in Annojiguda, Pocharam Municipality, was found dead in a college bathroom. The victim from Pocharam, Yadadri district went missing after a tea break. His friends later found his body in the washroom.

The college management rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. His body was sent to Gandhi Hospital for a postmortem.

Both incidents have caused widespread outrage among the victims' families and student organizations. In Pocharam, the victim's relatives stormed the college and ransacked furniture. One relative even attempted self-immolation but was stopped by Pocharam police.

Parents of both victims questioned why the bodies were sent for postmortem before they were informed.

Student organizations held protests outside the respective colleges, accusing the management of subjecting students to undue pressure and harassment. Police have been deployed to prevent further violence, and investigations are ongoing in both cases.
